This post and beam midcentury vacation home has all the architectural elements true to his orginal design. North, south clearstory walls of glass, steel framed indoor atrium, floating fireplace and sunken conversation pit are only a few of these elements that make up this Palm Springs modern gem.

A newly redone pool and spa and mountain views complete this postcard destination. It is truly magic at night as seen in the April issue of Palm Springs Life.


You’ll be amazed by the atrium as it greets you upon your arrival. The two palm trees within appear to be inside the home, but they’re enclosed inside a four-sided glass paneling that allow them to soar up and through the opening of the roof reaching high into the blue Palm Springs sky. It’s like a large open topped aquarium for our local desert landscape!
The traditional midcentury sunken living room showcases a remarkable hanging fireplace. This is the perfect area to relax with your company over a bottle of wine while reminiscing about past adventures.

Inside the kitchen you’ll find everything you could need to prepare quick snacks or that gourmet meal that you’ve been wanting to showcase. There’re also plenty of serving pieces to entertain your household comfortably whether you choose to enjoy your meal indoors or outside, special.

If you need a little television entertainment, you’ll find that the den is a great location for relaxing on the coach and catching your favorite show or sporting event.  This vacation rental provides cable tv and a large inventory of DVDs for your enjoyment. There’s also a desk with computer monitor if works calls while you’re out-of-town vacationing in sunny Palm Springs.

There is a great mix of sleeping arrangements at this mid-century masterpiece as well.   The Primary bedroom features a king bed, ceiling fan, pool deck access, and an en-suite bathroom.  The first Guest bedroom on the opposite side of the house features a queen bed, ceiling fan, and pool deck access. This bedroom shares the hallway bathroom with the second Guest bedroom across the hall. This third bedroom has a king size bed, ceiling fan, and a large picture framed window showcasing the front desert scenery.

The lot is huge making for spectacular outdoor living. Off the dining room, there is the covered area for outdoor dining. There’re two options for grilling. Choose from a propane BBQ, or the charcoal traditional weber style grill – just make sure to bring your charcoal with you! They’re four poolside chaises and two umbrellas that complete your poolside lounging experience.  We’re sure you’ll also appreciate all the desert landscaping that surrounds and beautifies the backyard while providing its natural aroma.


Being a Good Vacation Rental Neighbor:

This vacation rental is located in a peaceful and tranquil residential neighborhood perfect for your next poolside getaway.

In order to maintain the highest quality of our homes and the peace and quiet of our neighborhoods, all guests must adhere to the city and house rules. The city prohibits music and loud noise. The city strictly enforces these rules and prohibits parties, events, music, street parking, and disruptive guests. No music is allowed at any time. Quiet hours are between 9:00pm and 10:00am and guests are asked to be inside and mindful of neighbors. Overnight guests shall not exceed the property’s posted occupancy.

Optional pool and spa heat is available at an additional cost of $99 nightly or $495 weekly. Pool and spa heat is recommended October thru May. For this, we will preheat your pool and ensure it is heated upon your arrival to a comfortable 86 degrees. Additionally, you will have access to heat the spa to 102 degrees. Spa heat only is available at $25 nightly. (During hot summer months, spa heat only can be enabled at no additional charge. These months include July, August, September) No jets in the spa

Thank you for awesome communication and getting pool cleaned for us after windstorm.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The home has great midcentury character and a fantastic floor plan; primary bedroom is on other side of house from the 2 guest bedrooms. While home has had some modern updates, we appreciate that the original 1957 charm is intact, and home feels inviting and comfortable. The yard and pool are totally private. If looking for shiny & new, this property may not be for you, but if wanting good value, great location, and quintessential Palm Springs 1950s architecture this property checks all the boxes!
